Southern Bama Weekly Fishing

Report:
Over the weekend the soft shell crabs
and flounder showed up at Bayfront Rd.
and Wood Park. Gailard Island and the
Dog River Bridge is holding specks,
redfish, flounder, white trout and
ground mullet. The Theodore Industrial
Canal has rewarded anglers with
flounder, speckled trout, white
trout and redfish. White trout and
flounder are coming from Foul River at
Mobile Bay. Bream are hitting crickets,
Bass are hitting BooYah baits in the
creeks and canals off Dog River and Foul
River. The Gulf Anglers continue to
catch king mackerel on trolled baits and
hardtails at the rigs and natural
bottom.

The Theodore Industrial Canal is holding
specks, flounder, white trout and ground
mullet.
The Dog River Bridge and the
Beachcomber Dock has been holding
white trout, ground mullet, puppy
drum, flounder and redfish. Between
the marinas in Dog River has
rewarded anglers with speckled
trout, flounder and redfish. Nice
size flounder have been coming from
the Dog River flats. The Mobile Ship
Channel and the coal docks has
provided lots of action for the
white trout angler. Plenty of good
size red snapper and king
mackerel have been caught by the
gulf anglers.

O.P. Harrison has reported catches of 3 lb.
speckled trout at the Little Exxon Rig in
Mobile Bay. Live shrimp under a slip cork
has been catching the larger trout. The Dog
River Bridge and the Beachcomber Dock has
been holding white trout, ground mullet,
puppy drum, flounder and redfish. Between
the marinas in Dog River has rewarded
anglers with speckled trout, flounder and
redfish. Nice size flounder has been coming
from the Dog River flats. The Mobile Ship
Channel and the coal docks has provided lots
of action for the speckled trout angler. The

Plenty of good size red snapper and king

The anglers gigging for Flounder at Bayfront
Rd. (at the old Nan Seas Restaurant) have
gigged flounder up to 5 lbs. The Theodore
Industrial canal is holding good size
speckled trout, flounder, mangrove snapper,
redfish and white trout. Areas near the Dog
River Bridge and McNally Park rocks have
rewarded Anglers with puppy drum, redfish,
speckled trout, mullet, flounder and
redfish. Top water lures fished early in the
morning at Gailard Island has produced nice
speckled trout. Bream and bass are biting in
the creeks and canals off Dog River and Foul
River. The Gulf anglers are catching red
snapper and plenty of king mackerel at the
bridge rubble and natural bottom.

Report:
The rocks at McNally Park have rewarded
anglers with ground mullet, redfish and
flounder. Redfish, white trout,
speckled trout, flounder and mangrove
snapper are plentiful in the Theodore
Industrial Canal. The Mobile ship channel is
holding white trout. Flounder, speckled
trout and puppy drum are biting at the Dog
River Bridge, Theodore Industrial Canal and
Gailard Island. Bream and bass are providing
lots of action in the creeks and canals off
Dog River and Foul River. The Gulf Anglers
are catching plenty of good size red
snapper. King Mackerel have been hitting
hardtails and trolled baits.

Anglers are catching plenty of speckled trout at
Gaillard Island, Dog River and the Theodore
Industrial Canal. The Dog River bridge has
produced redfish, flounder and speckled
trout. Between the marinas in Dog River is holding
flounder, redfish, white trout and speckled trout.
The Dog River flats has rewarded anglers with
flounder and speckled trout. The bream and
bass fishermen have been catching good size fish in
the canals and creeks off Dog River and Foul River.
Randy Bryant caught a 5 lb. speck at the gas rig in
Mobile Bay on a live shrimp.
